Swicorp attended the Emerging Markets Private Equity Forum 2009, in New York. Mr. Nabil Triki, Managing Director and Head of Private Equity at Swicorp, engaged in a panel discussion on Case study driven discussions examining risks, geopolitical outlook, challenges of sourcing and transforming companies, and setting the stage for successful exits in the MENA region.

Swicorp attended the SuperReturn International conference 2009, in Berlin. Mr. Nabil Triki; Managing Director and Head of Private Equity at Swicorp; engaged in a panel discussion on the "Unlocking the Value of the MENA Region: Which Markets Hold the Most Potential for Regional & International GPs?".
The invitation extended to Mr. Triki, by one of the most important conference organizers, is evidence of Swicorp's sound reputation as a significant private equity player in the MENA region.

Swicorp participated as a Competitiveness Sponsor in the Global Competitiveness Forum 2009, in Riyadh. The forum is hosted by the Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority (SAGIA) under the patronage of H.M. King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz. The Global Competitiveness Forum is an annual meeting for top business executives, international political leaders, selected intellectuals, academics who share an interest in global competitiveness.

Swicorp attended the Fourth Annual Private Equity World MENA Conference, in Dubai. Mr. Karim Ben Salah, Vice President, Private Equity engaged in a panel discussion on the potentials of co-investment opportunities in the MENA region. Mr. Shahid Khan, Director, Private Equity, engaged in a panel discussion revolving around opportunities across the energy sector.

Swicorp attended the 4th Annual Emerging Markets Private Equity Forum, in London as a lead sponsor. Mr. Jean Guillaume Habay, Director, Private Equity at Swicorp, spoke during a panel discussion focusing on the specificities of North Africa as a truly emerging market and its evident growth potentials.

Swicorp attended the second annual SuperReturn Middle East conference, in Dubai. Mr. Nabil Triki, Managing Director and Head of Private Equity at Swicorp was invited to attend as a guest speaker. Mr. Faysal Hamza, Executive Director, Private Equity was invited to sit on a panel discussion assessing the potential of oil, gas and associated industries globally.

Kamel Lazaar, Chairman and CEO of Swicorp was chairman of the International Real Estate Investment and Development Conference at Cityscape Dubai and made the two opening speeches on the second and the third day of the conference.

On July 24th, Swicorp participated at the Atuge forum as Gold sponsor for the third year in Tunis, Tunisia. The forum provides Swicorp with the opportunity to recruit elite students from North Africa and Europe, as well as young professionals in the early stages of their careers.

Swicorp partook and attended the PEI Energy conference in London, United Kingdom. From May 26th to 29th, Swicorp attended the King Fahad University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) Career Day as a silver sponsor in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

The Career Day, which is renowned throughout Saudi Arabia and is now in its 25th year, is designed to help students better understand their career options and to meet leading local professionals in various fields. Several thousand students attend the event to gain career-related information, learn about job market trends and discover ways to become more employable. All eyes were on this year’s event with royalty amongst the alumni.

From November 10th to the 14th, Swicorp attended, as the sliver sponsor, the IPO summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Simon Rowe, Managing Director, Advisory, spoke and participated in a panel discussion relating to the dominance of family business in Saudi Arabia and the central issues when moving into the public domain.
