In addition, a variety of formal training is provided to ensure you are equipped with the right skillset and knowledge base from day one and throughout career at Swicorp. Key components of Swicorp’s training and development programme comprise:
New arrivals will participate in an initial orientation programme covering Swicorp’s activities, internal organisation and resources and support available across the firm.
Division Specific Training
Each division has its own orientation and training programme where you will learn about: the division’s key strategies, clients and services and develop or refine the core skills required within the division, such as accounting, valuation techniques, Islamic finance, legal, documentation and due diligence, among others.
General Business Skills
We offer courses delivered both inside and outside the firm to provide a range of general business skills to help you succeed in your wider dealing with clients, investors and outside parties. Examples of these include negotiation skills, presentation and communication, corporate strategy and leadership. We also welcome executives to suggest and propose other programmes that may be of benefit.
Additional Qualifications & Courses
We support and encourage executives who wish to obtain relevant additional qualifications such as the CFA by financing the exam and providing time for study. We will also help you identify other courses which may be useful to your current role or future career aspirations.
Upon joining Swicorp, you will be assigned a senior colleague who will act as a mentor and play an active part in your ongoing development, providing regular feedback on your work, co-ordinating annual and mid-year performance evaluations, and setting and monitoring goals and objectives. These mentors will also be there to provide professional and personal advice to help you plot your progression within the firm and ensure you develop the skills and insights to maximise your career potential.
Evaluation & Coaching
Swicorp is a meritocracy and advancement and rewards are tied closely to contributions and impact. Project leaders and colleagues are expected to provide regular advice and guidance throughout the course of assignments and transactions and there are formal performance reviews twice a year.
